Krista Ault, MD, is a board-certified family practice physician at Mercy Family Medicine, Mercy Medical Plaza. Dr. Ault earned her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed her residency at HealthOne/Rose Family Medicine in Denver. Prior to joining Mercy in 2014, she practiced at Partners in Health Family Medicine in Westminster, Colorado for two years. Dr. Ault enjoys all aspects of family medicine, in particular pediatrics, women’s health, geriatrics, and minor procedures for multiple generations of family members.
Dr. Ault is married with two children and enjoys raising her children in the close-knit mountain community of Durango. As a family, they enjoy being active by camping, hiking and traveling both in Colorado and abroad.
Lisa Isenberg, DNP, CPNP, is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner at Mercy Family Medicine, Mercy Medical Plaza. Ms. Isenberg earned her doctor of nursing practice degree from the University of Missouri in St. Louis and has been providing care for patients since 1994. Prior to joining Mercy in 2013, she worked at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and Washington University and has dedicated her career to caring for children, adolescents and families.
In fall of 2012, Ms. Isenberg moved to Durango with her husband and three sons. She enjoys spending time with her family, including skiing, hiking and finding new ways to explore the great outdoors of Colorado.
Karl Kamm, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant at Mercy Family Medicine, Horse Gulch Health Campus. Mr. Kamm graduated the physician assistant program at Oregon Health and Science University in Oregon and has been providing primary care services since 2009. Prior to joining Mercy in 2014, Mr. Kamm worked on the Navajo Reservation and served as a paramedic in northern New Mexico.
Mr. Kamm lives in Silverton with his wife and two children and enjoys spending time outdoors, including running and fishing.
Patrick Kearney, MD, is a family practice physician at Mercy Family Medicine, Mercy Medical Plaza. Dr. Kearney earned his medical degree at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where he later completed his residency in the University’s first family medicine class. Prior to moving to Durango and joining Mercy, Dr. Kearney practiced for the Indian Health Service in Shiprock, New Mexico for four years. Dr. Kearney specializes in a full spectrum of family medicine services, including obstetrics, and enjoys following patients through all stages of life.
He was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and later moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he was raised.
Richard “Chip” Keller, MD, is a family practice physician at Mercy Family Medicine and serves patients at Horse Gulch and Bayfield clinics. Dr. Keller earned his medical degree from the University of Toledo and completed his residency in family medicine in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Dr. Keller is married with twin sons and enjoys backpacking, traveling, running and cycling. He is originally from Ohio.
Cynthia Manninen, DO, is a family practice physician at Mercy Family Medicine, Mercy Medical Plaza. Dr. Manninen earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine from Michigan State University and completed her residency at Traverse City Community Hospital in Michigan.
Dr. Manninen moved to Colorado from Michigan in 2012. She is married with three children and a dog, and enjoys hiking, downhill skiing, golfing, quilting and knitting.
Joseph Murphy, MD, is a family practice physician at Mercy Family Medicine, Horse Gulch Health Campus. Dr. Murphy has been providing primary care services in Durango for over thirty years. He enjoys the continuity of care for newborns, children, young adults, adults and the elderly.
Since 1983, Dr. Murphy has served as the team physician for Fort Lewis College Athletics and has a special interest in sports medicine. He was born and raised in Durango and enjoys skiing and hiking with his wife, fly fishing, mountain biking, and spoiling his two grandchildren.
Adam Owens, MD, is a family practice physician at Mercy Family Medicine and serves patients at Mercy Medical Plaza and Bayfield clinics. Dr. Owens earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College in New York and completed his residency at St. Mary’s Family Medicine Residency Program in Grand Junction. He joined Mercy in August of 2014, and enjoys all aspects of family medicine, including pediatrics and internal medicine.
Dr. Owens is married with three sons and enjoys mountain biking, fly fishing and skiing.
Martin Pirnat, MD, is a family practice physician at Mercy Family Medicine, Mercy Medical Plaza. Dr. Pirnat earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and completed his residency at San Bernardino County Medical Center in California. In 1977, Dr. Pirnat moved to Durango as the first residency-trained family medicine physician and has provided a full spectrum of primary care services, including obstetrics for two generations of patients, for various organizations.
Dr. Pirnat received the Walking Stick Award in 2004 and was named Colorado Family Physician of the Year in 2006. He is an associate clinical professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the School of Medicine. Dr. Pirnat is originally from Colorado Springs.
Lexi Querio, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant at Mercy Family Medicine, Horse Gulch Health Campus. Lexi graduated from the physician assistant program at St. Francis University and has been providing primary care services since 2012. She has a true passion for working with patients and providing care in a small mountain town.
Lexi is originally from northern California and enjoys mountain biking, trail running, skiing and rock climbing.
Julianna Reece, MD, MPH, is a board-certified family physician. Dr. Reece enjoys caring for patients of all ages and specializes in primary and preventative care, women’s health, pediatric care, and chronic disease management.
Dr. Reece earned her medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and completed her family practice residency at the UC Davis Health’s Mercy Redding Family Practice Residency Program.
Erika Stensen, PA-C, is a board certified physician assistant at Mercy Family Medicine, Mercy Medical Plaza. Erika graduated from the Physician Assistant Studies Program at the University of New England and has been providing internal and family medicine services since 2007.
Erika feels fortunate to raise her two children in the Durango community and enjoys skiing, mountain biking, trail running, and spending time exploring the mountains.
