Department of Surgery (Perioperative Services)
Mercy Regional Medical Center's Surgery Department is the regional surgical services resource where more than 3,300 surgical procedures are performed annually. Patient care is provided by qualified professionals who are individually accountable for performance excellence, collaboration, utilization of integrative medicine, leading-edge technology, and techniques including minimally invasive and other state-of-the-art orthopedic and spine procedures.
The Surgery Department at Mercy Regional Medical Center provides pre-, intra-, and post-operative surgical care in the following surgical specialties:
• Orthopedic (sports injuries, total and partial joint replacement, hand, etc.)
• Otolaryntologic (ear, nose, and throat)

The Surgery Department is available and on call for emergency surgeries 24 hours a day. Normal hours are Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Anesthesiology services are provided at Mercy Regional Medical Center for surgical, obstetrical, and radiological procedures. All anesthesiologists employed by the hospital are board-certified physicians with cardiac and critical care experience who excel in regional anesthetic procedures. Anesthesia services are provided for more than 3,600 procedures annually. Services are provided for pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.
