For Immediate Release Mercy Re-designated as Level III Trauma Center Mercy Regional Medical Center was recently re-designated as a level III trauma center by the Trauma Program at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). As part of the designation process, surveyors performed a thorough inspection of the hospital's quality of care, process improvement systems, and compliance with Colorado state rules and regulations. No deficiencies were identified in Mercy's survey. "The objective evaluation that resulted in our re-designation validates the superior level of trauma care available at Mercy. The quality of care we provide is directly attributable to the caliber of the staff and physicians who work here," said Nancy Hoyt, Mercy's chief operations officer.
