Public Service Announcement Durango, Colo. — Mercy to host free community presentation on skiing performance enhancement and injury prevention Oct. 23 Mercy Regional Medical Center will host a free community presentation on skiing performance enhancement and injury prevention on Thursday, Oct. 23, from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. in the Eolus room at the Durango Community Rec Center. Topics will include "Avoiding winter sports injuries," by orthopedic surgeon Richard Lawton, M.D.; "Getting in shape for ski season," by certified athletic trainer Jeff Stotts of The Training Room; a updates from Durango Mountain Resort CEO Gary Derck; and an update from Durango Winter Sports Foundation Coordinator Kirk Rawles. A drawing for several one-day Purgatory ski passes will be held. # # # |
