Family Birth Center

Mercy Regional Medical Center’s Family Birth Center is the premiere provider for obstetrical, and neonatal care in the Four Corners region. Every year, we bring approximately 1000 new Coloradoans into the world. Individualized care at the Center is provided by a highly skilled and diverse team of nurses, physicians, midwives, and other caregivers who use an extensive spectrum of patient-selected modalities ranging from integrative medicine to spirituality-centered patient care, to state-of-the-art medical technology. Mercy Regional Medical center fosters a healing atmosphere that emphasizes a family-centered patient experience.

Services
Services provided in the Family Birth Center include labor and delivery, post-partum care, well newborn nursery care, and Neotatal Intermediate Unit. The Center features a state-of-the-art centralized fetal monitoring system and a secure, limited-access nursery. 

Obstetric patients may select labor options including water birthing.  Families are welcome to participate in the birthing experience.

Skilled Staff
Mercy’s Family Birth Center is staffed by experienced registered nurses who are all certified in neonatal resuscitation. Six staff nurses are certified lactation consultants and eight members of the Center’s staff are certified childbirth educators. Mother & infant techs are also available to provide assistance to the Center’s nurses and their patients. Click here for a list of Childbirth Education Classes at MRMC.
