Cardiac Care

Mercy Regional Medical Center’s Cardiac Care program provides a comprehensive approach to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac and pulmonary problems by using advanced technology and personalized education aimed at reducing risk factors. We strive to accommodate our patients’ needs and to report results in a convenient, efficient, and timely manner.

Services
The Cardiac Care program offers several cardiac stress tests including:

  • Nuclear studies
  • Echocardiography
  • Pharmacological
  • Pulmonary
  • VO2 max athletic testing
  • Tilt table testing

Other cardiac diagnostic tests available:

  • Electrocardiograph for all ages (ECG)
  • Signal average ECG
  • Holter monitor (24-hour ambulatory electrocardiograph)

Skilled Staff
Mercy Regional Medical Center is well known for the compassionate and nurturing care the staff provides. One of our goals is to help alleviate potential pain and anxiety a patient may experience during non-invasive procedures. Our nurses and technicians look after the special needs of each patient.

The Cardiac Care team is comprised of highly skilled registered nurses with critical care experience and certification in advanced lifesaving techniques. Our cardiopulmonary technicians are skilled and have a background in exercise science and are trained in life saving techniques. Our staff are required to have 10 hours of continuing education every year. Their knowledge helps ensure that they capture the best possible information that you need to help you achieve your desired results.

All of our tests are read by board-certified cardiologists who are on the medical staff at Mercy Regional Medical Center.

Hours
7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Personnel are on call after regular hours and on weekends to accommodate emergencies and/or inpatients
