JOB SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Clinical Coordinator, or Nurse Director the Surgery Nurse is responsible for the surgery nursing care of the pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric surgical patient.  The Surgery Nurse delivers care through the use of the nursing process in a manner that is cost effective without compromising quality of care.  Expected practice behaviors include assessment, planning, implementation of surgery interventions, and evaluation.  Assume charge duties as requested.  Call coverage is assigned on a rotating basis.  Performs other duties as assigned.
