JOB SUMMARY: An employee in this position works with a high level of independence providing leadership within all units of the hospital.  The Unit manager/Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Director in organizing, leading, and directing the nursing practice within the hospital.  Functions as problem solver and expediter of services for department assigned and maintains liaison with on-call administrator if significant problems arise on assigned unit/shift.
