The RN in the Cardiac Diagnostic Department provides direct patient care services. This encompasses performing assessments, administering medications, monitoring  patients, including Stress Tests, EKG’s and Holter Monitors and education of patients and families. The nurse applies knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span to provide care appropriate for the infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. The nurse takes an active role in continuing education offerings, teambuilding and professional development of fellow team members and participates in professional organizations and/or committees for the hospital and community.
